Loi Suites Iguazu
Something for Body and Soul

After the long walking day in Iguazu National Park, the Loi Suites hotel invites to infinity pools, spa, restaurants, bars, computer center….

 Loi Suites Spa

In every hotel where we are spending part of our vacations (even if it is the paradise like the Loi Suites hotel) we certainly need good restaurants and bars serving delicious food and drinks. This is an unquestionable requirement.

As important however as the food is for stomachs and alcoholic drinks for good mood, we also need something for “external parts of the body” and for soul.

And the answer to that need is a well designed spa creating a relaxing atmosphere where we can “expose” our body to the mix of oils and skillful hands of the staff and the soul to the well tuned music and filling the air fragrances.

Spa does not have to be very sophisticated – the “first violin” plays there the nature. I still have the vivid memories from my stay in the Jungle Bay Resort in Dominica (a small island on the Caribbean Sea between Guadeloupe and Martinique).

The spa itself was a modest wooden construction hanging between trees on the slope of this volcanic island. The most brilliant parts of the design were large – always open windows giving you the view, sound and smell of the ocean.

There is nothing more natural than the sound of waves washing the shore of the island, singing birds hiding in the canopy of trees, the smell and freshness of the air…..

Simple ideas, yet so often forgotten in many spas I had chance to see in many hotels.

Well, the spa in Loi Suites hotel meets most of these expectations although to my surprise it does not fully take advantage of the location in the middle of the rain-forest.

The individual rooms are too small for my expectations as the last thing you need in the spa is to feel claustrophobic. Good solution is to take the massage with your spouse or a girl-friend in a double sized room, where besides the fact of “experiencing it” together, there is also more space for nature or nature-imitating decoration.

Most massage services offered by Loi Suites spa last 60 minutes. They are relatively inexpensive by western standards. Ambiance underlined by nice design, soft music, cleanness and candle lights is allowing for good relaxation. And believe me – we deserve it in Iguacu Falls more than ever after a long day of walks along the waterfalls.

I hope that these Free Loi Suites Iguazu Pictures gave you a pretty good idea about the hotel's spa. So if you are excited enough about taking the massage please do not forget to make a reservation :-)

Restaurants and bars.

The main place for good food is the Naipi restaurant located one level below the lobby. There is also the Tiki Bar at the level of the infinity pools and a bar at the lobby level (although this one is open only few days per week.

What You See is What You Get - Bonne appetite

The breakfast served in Naipi is included in the price of the hotel. The “all-you-can-eat” buffet offers a vast choice of goodies, fruits and drinks. Actually I liked it the most as this concept seems to be the only one that works smoothly in Argentina.

Otherwise you have to show a lot of patience waiting first for a waiter to bring you the menu, then to come back to take the order and then even more to see something on the plates.

Obviously it may be due to the fact that most meals are “hand-made” and “on demand” (specifically “lomo”) but that still does not provide any good explication why you have to wait so long for the menu, drinks etc..

But this is a part of the beauty of the country – you like it or not (I do not) there is not much you can do. Actually after few weeks of bad experiences we came to the following conclusions:

- you do not go to the restaurant when you are hungry but well before you may got hungry, but if it is already too late then:

- take with you a bottle of something to drink so you do not die from dehydration,

- bring with you a small snack to fight first signs of low level of sugar while waiting for the main fiesta.

The services in Loi Suites bars and restaurant do not fall far from this picture.

This is one of my biggest surprises in Argentina. Before coming here for vacations I was under an impression that Argentine is all about good food and tango.

After a month of staying in Buenos Aires I can say that the tango is here and still very impressive, any kind of food is great provided it is a “lomo”, and the service is – well let’s change a subject (BTW most camareros (waiters) do not speak English but that can motivate some of you to finally learn Spanish.

You like it or not (I belong to the first group) – Spanish is one of the most often spoken languages in the world so I’m working on it!

Buena suerte!
